Just a few days ago, we wrote in our blog about the convergence of industries as a market driver. At almost the same time, news broke that carmaker Ford had entered into a 6-year deal with Google. The tie-up will see Google responsible for much of the carmaker’s growing in-vehicle connectivity, as well as cloud computing and other technology services. Google is expected to assist Ford in advancing in-car infotainment systems through remote or over-the-air updates to the use of artificial intelligence.

This example shows how the convergence of industries is progressing and how important these partnerships are, especially for car manufacturers, to ensure their survival in the market.
